About Us

Upward Care is registered as a Domiciliary Care Provider with the Care Quality Commission providing bespoke tailored care packages consistent with the Care Act delivering supported living and extra-care services throughout the West Midlands, to people in their own homes. Our service is provided to some of the most vulnerable adults in society who have an assessed need for care and support.

We ensure that people receiving our service feel independent but reliably and appropriately supported to become an active integrated part of their society and community. Our main objective is to deliver a flexible service and work with people to enable them to do things themselves as far as they are capable, rather than have support staff doing things for them.

We believe people should have maximum control over their own lives, and participate as far as practical within their community as active, equal citizens both economically and socially. We aim to work with people receiving our service to achieve the best quality of life they can while retaining maximum dignity and respect.

Supported Living

Our supported living service offers an alternative to traditional residential care homes, however delivers a level of provision which equates to that currently expected of a residential care home and can meet the same complexity and intensity of an individual’s needs.

The service is provided to people who require high levels of daily support due to the complexity, intensity or unpredictability of their needs. It includes access to care and support 24 hours a day which maybe provided through a mix of one to one and shared care and support with a number of people.

Essential to the service is that people are supported to live an ordinary life as independently as they are capable safely within their own home.

People who receive our service are supported to maximise opportunities for independence, to exercise choice and control over their lives, and be recognised as valued equal citizens and members of their local community within which they are encouraged to establish meaningful friendships and relationships.

Extra Care

The accommodation people live in generally features design adaptations and property services that enable older and vulnerable people to maintain their independence and facilitate them remaining within their own homes, where they might otherwise have to become dependent on more intensive models of care. Essential to the service is that people are supported to live an ordinary life as independently as they are capable, safely within their own home.

People who receive our service are supported to maximise opportunities for independence, to exercise choice and control over their lives, and be recognised as valued equal citizens and members of their local community within which they are encouraged to establish meaningful friendships and relationships.
